Ian Westwood

Ian Westwood worked at the Home Office from 1993-2003. He was an operational Immigration Officer serving at Heathrow, Gatwick and Dover before being promoted to Chief Immigration Officer based in Croydon. Since then he has set up his own consultancy business, providing training and immigration advice to a variety of corporate
and private clients on the subject of Immigration.
He is regulated by the Office of the Immigration Service Commissioner to provide immigration advice in the UK. Ian’s training credentials include the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development’s Certificate of Training Practice and the Belbin Team-Role Accreditation.

Sapna Patel

I am Sapna Patel, a Partner in PwC Legal’s Immigration practice. I specialise in both UK inbound
and Global immigration, focusing on emerging markets such as Brazil, China and India. 
I lead a number of large corporate engagements assisting clients with their mobility programmes
looking at key immigration considerations and how these interact with wider tax and other legal
requirements. I work closely with the PwC overseas network of firms to deliver on corporate
immigration requirements in different jurisdictions ensuring clients a seamless, joined up
service. I advise clients on setting up in new territories, looking at key challenges, red flags and
compliance considerations from an immigration/movement of workers perspective.
I have worked across multiple sectors including Financial Services, Oil & Gas, Engineering,
Automotive and Manufacturing advising clients on their sector specific immigration
requirements, and how changes to immigration rules impact particular areas. I have assisted
clients with their compliance obligations and set up of governance models which can be used to
allow companies to establish systems and processes to facilitate mobility of talent and skills.
I have unique experience of crisis management and supported clients with negotiations and
facilitating entry during during emergency evacuations for Libya, Egypt and Algeria.

I'm Katrina Cooper, an immigration expert with over 25 years experience in the legal industry, 10 of which have been in the immigration arena.

 I've worked with some of the world’s largest companies across all sectors including financial, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, technology, industrial, telecommunications, management consulting and entertainment and sports allowing me to develop a significant and deep understanding of immigration and global mobility issues across numerous jurisdictions.

 I speak and provide training sessions to clients and the public on various issues, including immigration issues in emerging markets, global immigration compliance and EU directives impacting the immigration world.
