More students working to fund studies

New research from Endsleigh states that the majority of university students hold down part-time jobs to fund their studies. 33% of students work part-time during term time and 14% work full-time in the holidays. This is due to the increasing need to develop work experience whilst studying and to bridge the gap between debt and comfortable living.

Student and Graduate Markets Manager at Endsleigh, Sara Newell suggested that ‘while many rely on their parents and student loans as their main sources of income, unexpected costs at university mean that many are looking for jobs to help ends meet’.
