Amanda Ashworth joined the ER team at the Co-op in 2012, and since 2015 has been the ER lead for its Food Retail business, responsible for managing the relationship with the Usdaw at a National level and leading for the business on key collective issues. Prior to that, she was closely involved in much of the HR activity directly linked to the crisis which the Co-op faced in 2013 and then in delivering a number of Group level change activities which were part of the Rebuild plans.
Before joining the Co-op, Amanda has worked for over 20 years both in a variety of generalist HR and specialist ER roles in manufacturing in British Steel and Zeneca, in the Utilities sector at United Utilities and also in Professional Services.
Throughout her career she has worked with a variety of Trade Unions, including Unite, Unison, GMB, ISTC and Prospect and is a fully qualified Mediator.
