1. Payments

All event (physical or virtual) fees are payable by the invoice due date or in advance of the event date, whichever is sooner. We reserve the right to refuse admission if payment is not received before the event. Fees may be paid by credit card or BACS transfer to accompany your booking form or online, or upon of receipt of an invoice. We do not store any credit card details used for payment.

2. Substitutions

Substitutions can be made at any time without charge. Email your request to 

3. Transfers

If you want to transfer to another course date, or different event, we will do our best to accommodate your request, but we reserve the right to refuse changes. Transfers will incur a £100+VAT administration fee. Email your request to

Cancellations can be made up to one month before the event without charge.

Cancellations at less than one month from the event date must be confirmed in writing and are subject to full payment and will incur a cancellation charge of £100 + VAT. Email your request to 

5. Special offers and discounts

Where discounts and special offers apply these are not cumulative and only one offer can be applied to a booking.

The price at time of booking is the price you will be charged. We will not amend, replace or substitute your booking to take account of any subsequent special offers, discounts or reductions.

Early bird discounts are only available until the advertised date.

6. Programme changes

It may occasionally be necessary to alter the content or timings of an event. When this happens we will notify you as soon as possible. Notifications will be made via email and updated on our website. Changes to our programmes do not constitute grounds for cancellation of a booking.

7. Accommodation and other venue charges

Unless otherwise stated booking fees only cover attendance at each event and refreshments provided by the organiser. Accommodation, travel, telephones and other incidental charges are the responsibility of the delegate.

8. Documentation

  • Conferences - you will receive a copy of all speaker presentations and other resources post event.
  • Workshops - you will receive a copy of the presentation two days prior to the event

8. Loss or theft of property at live venues

BFI accepts no liability for the loss or theft of any property belonging to delegates.

9. Travel to live venues

You are advised to take out appropriate travel insurance, as we will not accept any liability for travelling, accommodation or other expenses incurred due to an event cancellation or postponement. We will not accept liability for any loss, including incidental or consequential damages etc.
