Does your organisation have a robust pandemic contingency plan in place? What is your OH policy on pandemics and are you prepared for potential travel bans, quarantine and sick leave?
Following the confirmation of the recent Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak in China, stock markets are already seeing a hit and Société General have warned that economic growth will fall, if the outbreak fails to stabilise by March. They predict retail and tourism will be hardest hit, with manufacturing also feeling the blow.
There are companies who may not survive a pandemic and planning needs to start now; drawing lessons from the SARS and Avian Flu, BFI’s unique 21st pandemic planning event for employers combines the necessary medical, HR, risk mitigation, legal and operational elements into a robust plan.
This critical briefing will give employers the real facts and figures, ensuring your organisation revises and implements practical and workable business continuity and contingency plans. You’ll also examine the components of a legal and workable legal policy to understand how to approach such areas as travel bans, sick leave and absenteeism, quarantine and communications as affected by a global pandemic outbreak.
Experts will also address the crucial elements of communication and briefing during a pandemic as well as give key medical updates and possible scenarios to ensure your organisation can implement a robust resilience plan.
