Employee Vetting and Screening

Pre-Conference Webinar: Employee Vetting & Screening

Time: 11:00 - 11:30 | FREE

When: Thursday 3rd July 2025

With the need for tighter checks and security clearances, including contractors and temporary staff, as well as immigration and Right to Work checks becoming more complex, UK employers are under pressure to ensure accuracy and compliance when verifying staff. The BPSS version 7.0 guidance outlines which tools to use for verifying identities, the new digital guidelines and data security.

Fraud continues to pose a significant threat to UK businesses, with fraud accounting for more than 40% of all crime and costing the UK economy £219 billion annually. Recent data shows the UK lost £26.4 billion to frauds and scams in 2024 alone, whilst fraud incidents increased by 19% to 3.9 million cases in the year ending September 2024. For employers, robust employee vetting and screening processes have become essential defensive measures against fraudulent activities—whether through falsified credentials, identity theft, or internal misconduct.

However, many UK employers still rely on outdated screening methods, leaving them vulnerable to sophisticated fraud schemes that exploit recruitment gaps. This webinar will explore current fraud trends affecting British workplaces and provide practical guidance on implementing comprehensive vetting procedures that protect your organisation whilst ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.  Register now to hear the latest developments in vetting and screening employees and ensure your workplace is protected. We look forward to seeing you there!
