Before joining Fragomen Julia was a Partner, Legal Markets Leader and Head of Global Immigration at PwC leading complex multi jurisdictional client engagements and providing strategic global immigration advice. .Julia has unique experience in crisis management .Julia has advised several governments particularly on citizenship by investment programmes and visa processing systems and communications. Julia has been liaising with Government and Business on Brexit and has given expert evidence at the European Parliament. Julia has represented business at the Prime Minister’s immigration stock take meeting and acted as an advisor to the Home Office on business, investment and growth.
Julia was recently appointed to the Society for Human Resource Management''s Immigration Speciality Panel and to the board of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Julia is also a member of the Mayor of London’s Brexit Advisory Group and the Home Office EU Immigration Employer’s Representative Group. Julia is the co signatory of the ground-breaking London First/PwC Report on the impact of migrant workers in London and further report entitled ‘Global Britain’ covering Immigration options post Brexit released in November 2018. Julia sits on the Advisory Board of Migration Matters Trust, the Permits Foundation and the Migration Museum.
Julia is also the Chair of the international Bar Associations Human Rights Institute Charitable Trust, a member of the Chatham House Refugee Forum and a member of the Advisory Committee of COMPASS, at the University of Oxford.
