Kevin Sambor leads Vetting and Onboarding at Serco Ltd, overseeing the delivery of background and security checks across six key sectors—Defence, Justice and Immigration, Healthcare, Leisure, Corporate, and Citizen Services. As the policy and process owner, he ensures compliance with national security standards while championing a people-first approach to onboarding.
With more than two decades of experience in background screening and onboarding, Kevin has held leadership roles across the Insurance, Banking and Finance, and Government Outsourcing sectors. A certified Lean practitioner, he combines operational expertise with a strong regulatory knowledge base. He is currently studying for a Chartered Manager Degree, further deepening his strategic and leadership credentials.
Kevin also serves as Serco’s lead for the Security Industry Authority’s Approved Contractor Scheme, where he supports the implementation of best practices in personnel security.
Based in Merseyside, Kevin enjoys family life, is a devoted Liverpool FC season ticket holder, and still laces up his boots for the occasional amateur match.
