Starting as a volunteer on the helpline with Anxiety UK, Niamh found the experience so rewarding she was keen to join the team full time and contribute to the impactful work done at the organisation. Niamh is a degree educated biologist who, following a few years working in the biotechnology industry, changed career paths and joined the Anxiety UK team as a staff member in 2020.
Her role in the organisation primarily involves management of the national helpline; part of the strong support delivery arm of Anxiety UK which also offers therapy, groups, courses and much more. Niamh also coordinates commercial and charity partnerships alongside delivering workplace training and online webinars. As such, she has experience of delivering talks and training to a wide range of audiences. Niamh is passionate about raising awareness of anxiety and sharing the ways in which it can be managed so that people dealing with anxiety know they are not alone.
Anxiety UK is a user-led charity which provides access to services for people with a range of anxiety, stress and anxiety-based depression conditions.
