Sophie is particularly noted for her expertise in complex cases, from sponsor licence revocations to complex Tier 1 entrepreneur matters and discretionary cases, together with her strategic approach and ability to identify solutions that ‘are not immediately apparent’.
Sophie is a prolific speaker and commentator on immigration topics, presenting internationally and frequently commenting in the general media. Active in lobbying for policy and rule changes, Sophie regularly participates in working parties and consultations, including managing the firm's numerous submissions to the Migration Advisory Committee's (MAC), Home Office and the Home Affairs Select Committee (to which she has given evidence on a number of occasions). She is a past Chair of the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association (ILPA), a member of the Lexis PSL Editorial Consulting Board. She is also a member of The Law Society Brexit Taskforce.
