Martin Cleworth is a credible and engaging training consultant that specialises in negotiating, influence and crisis decision making. Working in this field for the last 12 months with a variety of organisations he have received extremely positive feedback on his credibility, delivery style and ability to add value to leaders and their organisations.
Martin’s training is based on 30 years of policing experience up to the rank of Chief Superintendent with an extensive and varied background across operational and specialist portfolios including serious crime, counter terrorism, major incidents, and armed policing. He has led multidisciplinary teams and strategic change programs improving service delivery and value for money. For over 20 years, Martin was involved in police negotiating dealing with people in crisis, siege situations, kidnaps and international deployments achieving the prestigious position as Lead Coordinator for the Northwest of England.
He has also worked independently with the Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office to formulate policy and governance for British Overseas Territories.
He is a positive, engaging leader with a proactive ‘can do’ mindset and keen sense of humour. Martin has led teams and the communities he served with integrity, empathy and dedication.
